90 std hatch...no tilt for steering wheel..wondering what parts i need for the tilt
hi guys
i just installed my quick release on my momo steering wheel...sigh its kinda tilted up a little now..and with no tilt in my steering column it sux *** :/ i havent drove it much to get use to it so maybe thats why but it woudl be alot more better if the steering wheel was down more.
wondering what exact parts i need from another civic...will a crx work?
im assuming civic dx's and civic si's of course have tilt?

CRX works, I used a CRX Si column in my hatch.
Only thing I had to do was to use my stock lock cylinder for the ignition.

Its fairly simple I swaped my si column over to my std model. I would think the crx si would be the same as the civic si.
You have to drop the colun and their is like 6 bolts then their is a 10mm bolt that holds the steering column in place at the bottom. The bitch part is removing the ignition. I drilled mine out and put two screws in it, which isn't really a good ideal but nobody will ever steal my car because its hidious. You have to remove all the plastic. If your a big guy you might want to remove your seat before you start doing it, so you have more space to work and it only takes 5minutes to remove. Its just a suggestion thats all.

see that silver part up by where the tilt lever is?
Well on the side there is a hole and you will see that it has a gear inside you have to turn the colum until the ignition fits into the gear.
It will make more sence when you hve your ignion switch off and you can put it up against the new colum

Not really that much, but enough.
You may have to grind a slot on the backside of the ignition bolts, that way you can use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew it.
To remove, take off the steering wheel, unplug harnesses on back of the wiper and light levers. Unscrew the gauge cluster cover and remove ( makes things easier) and unscrew the signal/light control unit from the column. Remove the 4 14mm nuts from bottom side and the bolt at the floorboard(knuckle) that goes into steering column. Remove.
Install is the reverse as you probably know.

Well something is wrong, it should hold.
This is a straight forward swap so I dont know what you would have done wrong?
Check the latch to make sure it can engage.
