what does this sensor do?





also that cooling tube is that for the p/s?

 

on the second pic the tube that makes the u turn infront of the ac thingy thats to cool the p/s. not sure about the first one any pics from the front?

 

there is nothing that comes out of it. just a black tube. i thought it was a garage door opener?

 

outside temp sensor for climate control?

 

makes sense but if your driving wont it get cooled off?

 

Parking Antenna? maybe?

 

it is probably an external ambient air temp senson

in the second pic,that is the P/S cooler-US civics had it also.
that filter has to be aftermarket-every OEM Honda filter i've seen is paper element.

does any one know if the right hand drive p/s work with the lhd p/s pump. i wont to try to use the cooler with my lhd p/s

 

I think that first picture was an option to have a backlit front license plate.

that wire going to the front bumper is for the JDM EG6 front bumper antenna. it has an antenna located at the front left of the bumper that goes up to tell you how close you are to an object. it has a green tip on the top of the antenna. for parking purposes possibly.

 

ya i seen the harness for the antenna with the green light on my clip but i had no idea why it was spliced with that sensor.

 

from that pic it is not there...im missing mine too...

 

so i guess it just uses a common ground or 12 v with the antenna.

 

also did you notice that there is no tube for the bumper like the usdm?

 

yeah mine is missing the support and foam...the bumper stays on fine and all but its kinda flimsy (sp?) without it
