Hey everybody,
Ive been looking for a 92-95 hb for some time now but there is a girl in town with a 89 hb that im thinking of buying. Its got the usual honda rust in the back by the wheels, 226,000 on the engine and still kicking, automatic. My question is this. Im wanting to buy this( she will sell it for 275 btw, good price?) and I am going to strip the interior, just have front two seats, then do a swap into it, im wanting a b18c1 into it, but the problem is this: The tranny from a b18c1 is hydraulic correct? While the tranny on this 89 is cable. I figure it shouldnt matter right? Modifications can be made and it can work, cant it? My plans are to strip the interior, do a swap, then boost it(turbo), then get the rust and **** filled in and maybe paint, nothing more. I just am looking for a cheap *** car, and this would be what I need. What do you guys think? Would it be too hard to make the car manual with a new engine, i figure Ill get a new ecu from the engine, also will have to maake a place for the clutch pedal. What do you think? Is it worth it or should I continue looking for a 92-95. The problem is around here(mid nebraska usa) is there arent any! I am going to look in some salvage yards this weekend, but im also pretty tempted about this find. Tell me opinions please! Thanks.
