Default glass pack or catylic converter

someone told me that putting a glass pack behind the cat on a 1.5 crx would sound lower and deeper than the si's stock motor, is this true?

Resonator between ur catalytic converter and muffler will make the sound deeper (not quieter) at a lower resonance.

The longer the resonator the better. Go for the good ones, not the cheaply made ones.

your cat really doesnt have the fiberglass ****, its mostly made of ceramics with a steel wool outer covering to cut down vibrations and hold the ceramic snug. The res. usually is completely packed full so thats prolly where its coming from. You will notice a louder tone and possibly more raspy than before. how long has your resonator been on? they tend to blow out and get louder in a few weeks.

man to put it as simple as possible..if you have inspection connections like i do, CUT the damn CC off and go with a 2 1/2 or 3" straight pipe all the way to the *** end of the car. I did it and also added a Flowmaster 60 series for imports. the sound is way deep while driving regularly and extremely intimidating at high speeds. Plus it frees up horsepower.

yea steel wool is what is covering my exhaust from tip to as far as i can reach inside. i have had this resonator (invidia) for about 8 months.....the cat cheap **** off ebay straight through basically a test pipe. its fine below 3k but once i get higher and heavier on the gas it gets super super raspy ewww...unlike before where its deep all the way to 7k..

Im running a gutted cat and a cherry bomb resonator, used to have the rest of the piping and a flowmaster 3" setup but that got ripped off during a bottom out on a large curb, never put it back on

Sounds awesome but everyone says they can hear me for blocks, cant talk inside the car, ****** loud
