Default Aluminum oil pan by Golden Eagle Mfg.

Well, we have a new product coming out soon. Our aluminum oil pan is one of the nicest oil pans we have seen yet. We are just a little curious as to what some of the other engine builders would like to see as far as baffles and trap doors inside the pan. Your EDUCATED input will be very appreciated. One nice thing about our pan is the fact that the flange is a one piece billet aluminum plate that has been CNC machined, not a flat piece of bar stock like some other pan manufacturers. Here are some pics of the prototype pan:

As you can see in this last pic, the flange is made from a solid piece of aluminum so it will not flex or warp like the bar stock style flanges found on other pans.

We want this pan to be able to be used in a variety of motorsports like drag, road coarse and off-road applications. This pan also houses and extra quart of oil over the stock pan. Let me know your thought on the inside baffling that you like. Thanks

By the way, these pans will be available soon. No prices yet.

how much lower than stock does it hang?

If you could incorporate a baffle system that works for both RR and drag, you would have a hit on your hands. Have you posted in the RR forum yet?

Yes, I posted it in the RR forums. It does not hand lower than the stock pan, we just did small kick-outs on the sides so there would be no ground clearance issues

Yes, they will have the turbo oil return port already in them. It is not in this pic because it was a prototype.

Check this guy's baffles
You should add at least one turbo oil return plug.
The extra quart capacity is a huge benefit to everyone.
I hope that it is designed to use the stock oil pick-up and dip stick.
You won't be able to make them fast enough.
Great product

Earl,

Thanks I will have the oil return port in it and it does use the factory oil pick-up and dipstick That makes it very easy.

what would the price be on the oil pan for a b-series(GSR)? what is the weight difference between your unit and the stock one?

Very nice pan.
I have seen on R/R cars with Kseries the pans need a baffle that will slow the oil from moving ( like a hing door) vs. the stock pan. K-series seem to have this problem when R/R due to the amount of oil moving arround. Seen rods snap due to this problem.

I would run that beautiful piece of work!
When do you plan on releasing it?

It would be nice it you can make the top flange look like stock w/ the dimple on them, that make it better for sealing I think. The Moroso drag pan I have w/the flat flange leak and if you torque the nuts down, it'll squees out.

Vince, why not just put a nice ORing groove in it. Get the tool from Destinytool.com and that is it. No leaks, no gaskets. But don't just use and end mill, then the Oring will just fall out.. Get an O Ring cutter.. Go to page 29 on the following PDF http://www.destinytool.com/end...g.pdf Gaskests are outdated, 20th Century technology.. O ring everything..

That would be a good feature..It's the little things that matter to a customer

Hey, Vince. I don't know how much stuff you do for SRT-4's, but we have made them for that motor.. If you want to make those also, let me know.
