and the part about the elderly people driving in auto RS's makes no sense to me? whats your point for this? do they have altezzas? or whats going on?

Default Re: Altezza lights (..::91TEG-G2::..)

Im just sayin it makes me sick to drive a car that looks like the SAME as 4 elderly people's. Makes me feel like Im almost rollin with them.

Im trying to modify whatever I can on the outside, with a medium budget, since I already dropped it, and I don't want to put a bodykit because of the poor street conditions around where I live.

I got some Altezza's, I admit it. Don't like them much though..makes my car look like a toy. Im just trying to find out if there is another rear light setup that suits a teggy but are not Altezza looking.

I know you people here are all about keeping everything stock on the outside and putting everything in the engine fist.. fine for you... But that GSR is my first car .. its fast enough for now and before I get into the engine, I want to modify it's look... including the rear lights (even though I look like the only one who doesn't enjoy the stock ones that much, I dont give a damn).

But, if you dont get my point, or think Im just plain stupid, I got another question, this time concerning wheels.

I have some 16s right now and was wondering if 17s would slow my acceleration down that much... Ive heard so... what about lightweights? are they really light? Can you gimme an example? Like... would a lightweight 17 weight as much as a normal 16?

Thanks for your time and for the tolerance towards by newbieness

Just buy some OEM 98+ integra tailights.. all red.. Don't add stupid cheezy tailights... around here theres sooooo many different style tailights and they all look like ****! Most are soaked in condensation.

just my opinion

Go out and buy a lip kit or something... OEM optinial lipkit.... CF hood?

go to a good body shop and have them painted all red! that looks cool and still different. try finding an OEM optional kit (good luck) and like stated above, a carbon fiber hood. and although 17's and altezzas do go hand and hand (yuck) i would recommend sticking with the 16's.

what about lightweight RIMs ? what about them? I mean, if I would get lightweight 17s ? would it be as good as getting non-lightweight 16s?

omg man who gives a rat's @$$ what other people drive. You drive your own car, and hopefully you like it. The fact of the matter is, the G3 Integra was a popular car, no doubt proven by the fact that the same body style ran for EIGHT years, with only one facelift after 4 years. If you don't want to see as many people driving the same car as you, by a less popular car.

Do what you want according to your own tastes and desires, not just because you see other people driving the same model car as you.

well he was wanting something that looked different, and I guarantee you that NOBDOY would notice the difference in JDM taillights, not even most Honda enthusiasts, unless you told them.

Ok I dont want to be rude but my car suits me for the engine, wich is my first priority....

I wont seel my car, go to the bank for a week of paperwork and buy another car because of its similar look to many people's: I prefer to remedy the issue by changing or moding parts... since the estetic similarity with other teggies is just an annoyance, and not a pain.

Honda is the best to my opinion and I wont change car because of an estetic matter, but still, I want to work on it.

Thanks for all your advice!! Its really appreciated!

Yeah but I'm just saying, do you really LIKE the altezza and other POS aftermarket lights flooding the market? If not, and you think OEM looks best (I sure do), then leave them on. Don't change something that you think looks good JUST because it's the same as what everybody else has.

And that gold Integra looks to have 98-01 USDM taillights. Those look the best on most color Integras, esepciaally white, red, and black ones.

On some colors, though, like my teal green Integra, I prefer the 94-97 tails w/ amber turn signal lens.

having your car 'blend in' should be a good thing, as it will make it less attractive to thieves, and more a sleeper (so people won't expect a modified engine under the hood)

I'd rather my tail lights match a bunch of old people, then a bunch of ricers.

My car stands out in a group of integras owned by mummys, even with my stock tail lights.

Technically, those are illegal in the states to use. The car must be seen/reflect in all directions.

The rear taillights must shine to the side and rear AND reflect to the side and rear. Same with the front. That's why all cars have "wrap-around" taillights/corner lights. If they don't, they have some sort of add-on reflector such as the little lights on the bottom rear bumper of Accords.

The JDM ones look so similar to USDM ones that cops/inspection stations don't notice. But you gotta be careful.

Some people are real low-lives I guess. They should get a car of their own.

Instead of trying to make yourself stand out, and look stupid(In my opinion, I hate altezzas, sorry.) or like a "toy" you say, buy something you DO like and don't worry if someone else in your neighborhood has the same lights, or rims or whatever.

Buy something you want, and make it look good to yourself, instead of buying something you don't want, and not liking what it looks like.
