I like going up to Sac once in a while to race, but this year they setup the North Vs South the same weekend as IDRC Arizona. Date is Oct 8/9
Can someone influence CMI to change the weekend. hehe. I'd like to race the North Vs. South to represent Southern Cali but who can pass up a race in Firebird.

Nothing like a 6-7 hour drive to Az, then a 10 or 11 hour drive from Az. to Sac town after a long day of racing, and a 6 hour drive back home after another long day of racing...

Yiiiikes
better have them change the date...i wouldn't mind hitting a CMI event this year. Between the BIG 4...i have 7 races scheduled and can possibly squeeze in a sac town if possible.

Speaking of conflicting dates the one I hate is the April 16-17 IDRC in LACR vs April 16-17 NHRA in Vegas.
At IDRC I can race my vw....but really want to go and support the fellow Import racers in Las Vegas.

I'll be down there for a few honda challenge weekends, wouldn't mind seeing some drags. Any good events coming up?

i'd like to support CMI as well, but the smarter choice to race for US that want coverage and a more competitive field is the IDRC race in AZ.
You can't even compare Firebird to Sac Raceway. Firebird is one of the nicest tracks to race at in the West Coast.

i like the return roads at both tracks

you're not gonna get more Quick 8 racers out there if its being scheduled at the same date as another Big event. CMI is cool and all, but it doesnt get the coverage as the other series gets. We all like to race CMI, but when it comes down to it, its not a priority to go there. and thats a fact.
