Teg 2000 : Squeaky steering wheel when sharp and u-turns
Hi Guys,
I have 2000 integra LS automatic
Recently its been making funny noises when i perform sharp, or u-turn coming from the steering wheel.
Is there any way to add oil / lubrication to the steering wheel or the steering wheel connectors?
If so how would i do it? From inside the drivers seat or from with in the hood.
Thanks,
AGC

Check your power steering fluid? What you're describing sounds like something different, but checking is worth a shot
Hah, my 00 gsr deos this too. I think mine is some form of rubbing in the steering column itself, or theback of the wheel or something. I just ignore it, doesn't seem like its a big deal to me.
Kind of a light, plasticky, rubbing sound? Maybe the cable reel that carries all the circuits for the horn, airbag, & cruise buttons?
Hum...yes...its sounds like...two pipes... one larger one spinning and rubbing against a smaller one...
Kinda sounds like a faint horn...
uuuooooommmmm (or something like that)
lasts for about 2 - 3 seconds...
Its annoying...i was wondering if some wd 40 can fix it...
The car drives perfect i recently took it in to get allignment.
Thanks,
Tim
