Default 2006 1500cc busa?

i keep hearing stuff about the 06' Busa and that they are finally going to revamp the entire thing. Does anyone have any pictures? is it really going to be 1.5L? i also here that in Europe there will be a special edition supercharged model. which sounds a little far fetched but yeah any info or pics would be great!

You know I heard somethign like this too...supposedly s2000s are coming with 3.0 litre inline 6s with a sequential turbo setup next year. Maybe these rumors are true.

I heard that Campbells (the soup company) is coming out with their own car and they contracted Toyota to engineer it. Its going to be called the Soupra and each car is autographed by Donovan McNabb's mom. Maybe these rumors are true too.

Might as well bump the displacement on this porker... It's not going to weight less anytime soon

I think its a conspiracy, McDonald's is the one behind the 1500cc busa they keep offering these monster sized meals making everyone into a fat ***. 600s wont be around much longer. and the 1000s will need to start comming with stroker motors, stiffer springs and reinforced frames to suit the American fat ***...

Looks like Honda is lashing back at suzuki,
"VFR1200 revealed
Honda is to launch a 1200cc V5-engined replacement for the Blackbird. It will be packed full of anti-crash electronics and be capable of cracking 200mph.

Factory insiders say it will be on sale in 2006 and be blessed with the most powerful engine a road bike has ever used - making around 190bhp."

I also hear that the 06' busa is going to have sharper looks because most people dont like the rounded look. here is the only pic i have been able to find...

It looks good, but I'd be surprised if it came with a Gixxer nose

Yes these are the same old rumors being hashed over and over. Honda has leaked nothing about a production V5 / new blackbird replacement.

I don't see the point of a Busa in the marketplace. A new R1 and the ZX-10R are almost as fast as a Busa now. Plus its a better handler in every way.

probably because the busa is better for long distance riding
and still offers gobs of power

Plus its like 80 pounds lighter, I agree with you, there isn't much point in a busa. They are however (according to some) alot more comfortable than the R1. I honestly feel like id have to have a much larger *** to ride on, every time i sit on them i feel like i am having my legs forced apart which is not comforable.

Defently the larger people thing is a key to sales....
Im not so sure suzuki would keep a bike in production to promote posers but you never know...Alot of people don't like how the 03-05 busas look but i really like how they look, you just gotta be a big guy to ride them....If i was another 80 pounds heavier i would defently look into a busa cause i do ALOT of highway riding.

how many times have you heard, " screw that if i get a bike i'm gettin a busa" "600s are slow, i'm gonna do it right and just get a busa" many of those idiots actually go buy a busa. not knowing its not an actuall supersport

This is true, I have heard too many times of newbies that want the biggest and the best so they go buy a busa, I sure hope they don't add to the statistics of accidents and deaths in youth, 90% of the time they are younger riders who have never rode before and don't understand that they don't need that kind of power....

Coming from a Busa owner.

We've been hearing the same BS about the XX and the Busa for the past four years. I'm not saying that its NOT going to happen, but I'm not holding my breath.

Both companies have reasons to do the upgrades and both companies have reasons to just keep doing what they are doing (Zuk sells EVERY Busa they produce).

Then you obviously wouldn't understand. Unless you are running the roads like you are racing (been there, done that, stupid) the Busa is just as fast in the curves.

I bought it for the comfort. I sport tour on mine. I stay off major highways as much as possible (interstate sucks) and love the ride. I might ride to the Ozarks or I might ride to Deals Gap.

Sure you could ride with me on an R1 but who is going to get there and hurt a LOT less?
