How much torque on 81.5mm stock sleeves...
Im debating between dropping a sleeved block in my car and getting it over with, or continuing my pursuit to be the fastest on stock sleeves, while I further build the sleeved motor... As you all should know, torque is the most direct reading of cylinder pressure, and cylinder pressure is the limitation of the sleeves... Not neccesarily horsepower... My question is, what is the highest know TORQUE on stock sleeves for an 81.5mm motor... I already made 300lb ft on stock sleeves, and stock rods, reliably (until that fateful 35psi incident), and Im sure with forged internals, the stock sleeves can support a LOT more... what I have to figure out, is just how much more...
The short version:
Whats the most torque known to have been made reliably on stock 81.5mm sleeves...
Any questions, feel free to ask me

</TD></TR></TABLE>The motor I built for my friend was an LS 81.5mm stock sleeve and made 340lbs. could have made more if he was using Vtec head but a stock LS head as well. He made 417whp. on 103 octane.

I already made 300, so I was lookin for something stupid, like 400 lb ft lol... I plan on doing 325tq on pump gas, and as much as safely possible on race gas....
