Default wtf is that noise

how does one get rid of the beeping noise that occurs when either the door is ajar or when the seat belt is unbuckled in a 90 crx dx?

mine also goes off when going fast around a tight right turn or is i jerk the wheel really fast either way.

also my speedometer makes a chirping squeal that varies between pitch and tone at different speeds as well as when the car temp changes outside the car as well the engine temp. id like to fix that, it tends to kill the mood with any girl in the car.

Disconnect the wires underneath the seats for the door/seat belt beeper.

As for the speedo, its possible the cable can be going bad?

You can also cut the wires for the door switch, open the door and look at the switch on the door jam ( not on the door but the car itself ) see the little switch.

The cable is the only thing I can think of....maybe not bad, but perhaps not clipped in like its supposed to be? If it is clipped in toss some lubricant up in there.

I had the same beeping. I just took out the alarm. What some people suggested was thar=t the connector in the dorr is bad, which is true in my case. sick a paper clip in there so it grounds itself, .

yeah, me too.

i already unplugged the seat belt clips under the seat, but the door beeper is still there.
i have a factory service manual and removed a buzzer from the fuse box by the driver's left leg, but i think that was the seat belt beeper so the door thing still beeps and it annoys me.
my passengers were pleased to no longer have the reminder lights or beeper for the seat belts, even though pretty much everyone who rides in my car wears the belt, it was annoying to hear the beeping if they took it off for a minute.

Its in the rear-view mirror console on the ceiling. take the cover off, unscrew some things, and take it out.

don't thank me.. thank CRX1.8T
But, you also have to put a paperclip in that switch-connector in the door, otherwise you'll just kill the battery in a few days...And the "door" light in the cluster won't turn off, and that'll bother you almost as much.

i'm sorry, but you have the wrong beeper. the beeper for the seatbelts is by the rear view mirror,

BUT the beeper he seems to be talking about (when the door is open and the key is in) is in the white box attached to the back of the fusebox. i took it apart and unsoldered the speaker inside it, which is better than killing the door switches, because the light can still turn on with the door open this way.
