Hey Guys,

First time posting in this forum. My friend is buying a tig welder pretty soon and we are going to start learning how to weld. We'd eventually like to build a rollcage and put it in my hatch. Does anyone know of any links that have diagrams/plans that have dimensions, pipe diameter, etc. for building rollcages?

http://www.scca.org/ The SCCA has rulebooks on their site. Please don't do a cage though as your first project. If it's your first time welding, you won't be that great, practice for 6 months or more than consider a cage. Also, don't just teach yourself, get some books and if at all possible have someone help teach you not only the basics but the harder things like out of position tig welding.

Thanks for the link and advice. Of course this won't be done before I know what I'm doing. I do plan on getting some books and asking HT a bunch of questions after we get the welder.
