I recently ran through a puddle that shut my car down. I pulled out my intake (cold air pos) and havent replaced it. Im waiting for a short ram to come in but it will take a while. How bad is it to run your car strait out of the intake manifold? And will it make a major difference with it being off speed wise? iev noticed that its been way sluggish.. to the point of shame.
Thank you
Ben.

doesn't your CAI have two pipes, one coming out of the manifold then one going down into the wheel well? if thats the case just dry your filter and upper pipe and use them together. It isnt very wise to not have a filter, you could get all sorts of dirt into your engine that way
even if its not in 2 pieces, just cut it and slap the cone filter on the end. you may even be able to fit the cone filter on the end of the TB temporarily (unless you have abs then it prolly wont fit). if you do end up cutting, be sure to remove all metal shavings from the intake tube before reintalling it - they dont make engines happy

have you checked to see if it starts again? theres a possibility you could have hydro-locked your motor. if so, id start thinkin about spendin money things other than an intake...
