Default Piping in a 98 hatchback

i have a 98 hatch and its all stock right now. in the future i would like to swap a motor and go turbo. Since u need 3.0 piping for turbo, would it be bad to get that piping done now with everything stock. is it even legal to have that kind of piping? Would it be hard to pass smog? with the bigger pipping do you get a louder and better sound?

*shakes Head* Why must people persist on thinking bigger is always better?

Ok that was negative, sorry.

I would wait to get the exhaust done until later... 3" on a stock dx motor and youll have a much harder time taking off. So, No I wouldnt suggest it.
