So far, I've gathered together a few parts for a mini me setup...y7 complete motor, y8 head, z6 head, p28 ecu, and the z6 tranny...I was wondering...have any suggestions on which route to go? and whice combo would be the best? y8 head has no vtec sel. and no IM or dizzy...z6 head has the dizzy and everything attached...I plan on keeping it obd1, n this is going into my EG...what do u think?

go with the Z6 head. flows better than the Y8 head.

 

Y7 block, Z6 tranny, Z6 head

 

Stick with your car's OBD. The Z6 head flows better.

but just to double check...which headstuds/bolts do i use if i use the z6 head?

i'm assuming the headstuds for a y7 or y8? and a z6 head gasket and timing belt?

correct me if i'm wrong...just wanted to make sure

 

Use the headbolts for the head.
