I normally visit the Econo parts and Pick-a-parts in Wilmington for my parts. They have been getting less and less hondas now and days. Any other good places in a 20 mile radius around the Long Beach area to pick up junk yard parts for Honda Civics/CRXs?

I would like to know the same thing... hit two yards up last night and 0 civics or CRX's. Both were Pick Your Parts in OC

 

haha i used to go to that pick-a-part all the time...lol know i know whos been taking all the honda parts
j/k but i dont think there are any other junkyards in a 20mile radius....i know there is a bunch in sun valley(even a all honda one...but its $$$)

 

go to the south lot in wilmington, not the north one. i found plenty of hondas there.
last weekend during the half price sale there was a civic Si, with almost complete engine and tranny still there.

last month there was a CRX Si (!) in the north lot with rear brake discs and engine still there.

it sucks that you dont get a transfer pass between the north and south lots and have to pay again. but its worth checking out both lots.

also, theres a very small lot in gardena near the 110. wasnt much there, except a good condition civic sedan EX with knuckles in tact. a friend of mine already pulled the knuckles tho. the engine might still be there, 200k miles, auto tranny.

 

I've checked both yards. The north one has the good later model section, but u have to pay extra. Occassionally I find good stuff in the south one, but then again I have also found a CRX w/ everything in mint condition at the econoparts in wilmas.

i found the late model section totally worthless. the 1 or 2 later civic they did have were totally stripped and worthless. but i guess the timing as bad.

i dont know about the econoparts. where is that? ill have to check it out next time.

 

The econoparts is on Wilmington Blvd and Lomita Blvd. Oh man, the people who sell the fruits over there sell good fruit

yup w3rd. Stefans right. This city is just south from me. My trips down to these yards are always successful You just have to hunt through like 10-15 yards at the most, and most of them are Honda only. I usually never have to hunt for more then 3 places. You find so much stuff, my buddy recently found 97 del sol all black seats for $100. And like i said i have found any and every EF piece i may be lookin for. Thats why me and the homies just make a fieldtrip out of it. Well take a whole day off to hunt around. This is were the famous yard is of Blue Motors, strictly Honda/Acura. They were featured in SuperStreet awhile back. Man they always have good **** there, but a lil pricey. Its all about bargaining, u just gotta be a hustler

hmm on second thought, i might just mess around with my suspension instead.
