more expensive, wear faster, not ideal to learn on an unforgiving r-tire.

he said "I'm about to wear out my Azenis that I track only" so assuming hes already worn through azenis just from track days i thought he would have done a pretty extensive amount of laps
i see what you are saying though. i was just wondering why he wouldnt try an r compound.
still got that steering wheel?

hey guys......yeah my first set of azenis since I starting tracking about a year ago.....7 or 8 days on track, but I did many sessions so I didn't get the normal 4 sessions a day more like 6 on average a day.....
I'm sticking to street tires, my hatch is not daily driven but I do drive it once iin a while (still register'd) so R compounds are no where in my future till I get more seat time on street tires...

The MX handles heat better than the 215......but the 215 is going bye bye
to be replaced by the 615
from the specs and test data I have seen, the 2 ( MX and 615) tires are actually very comparable
I'll have a set of the 615 you can try in a few weeks Joser

just unloaded it last week.
<--- probably gonna pick up some MXs when his 215s wear out, assuming the vulcan prices on the 615s are accurate. anyone auto-x on the mx? from what i hear they are slowish to heat up and just plain not that good at full tread... anyone?

Azenis aka cheaters make u launch crazy on the streets but with a treadwear of 200 they will go like nothing esp for daily driving. I am a true fan of the azenis even tho they wear out fast cuz there amazing traction! I am a die hard FALKEN AZENIS fan. jus save up money and have another set waiting in the garage or something. NOTE: these are words from a avid street racer!

and thats why we will ignore them.
on to the topic, i love my 205/50 mx's. good tire, good value, and all around a much better tire than azeni's IMO, because there is more to a tire than how it does on the track obviously.

I had them for 9 months and even with rotating them every 3000 miles the metal bars were showing. awesome tire, but didn't last very long at all

Which tire are you talking about, the Azenis or the MX?
And how many miles did they last? 9 months could be 5K miles or 50K...

Seriously?
Is that everybody else's experience?
I feel like an idiot but I'm having a hard time deciding on what to put on my ITR to replace an aging set of 215-45-16 RT215's.
