Default JDM frontclip conversion + engine swap // I have questions

As the title says I intend to get a full JDM frontclip for my 98 GSR. Question is, when you buy a "full conversion kit", what comes with it?

And also, is it mandatory to use everything that comes in a full kit or some things are optional?

Another little question, engine-wise. My engine has now reached 130,000 KMs, wich is about 84,000 miles. Im new to mechanics and Id like to build myself an engine.

With 84,000 miles already, admitting it would take me a year and a half or more (/time+money factors) to build it fully, would it be better for me to buy a new or low millage GSR engine (JDM) and start changing parts myself while it's out of the car, by itself in my garage? Is it a good idea even if I'm a newbie?

Basically Id like to rebuild it with more heavy duty parts so I can put a stage 2 or 3 turbo and not worry too much about killing the engine is a short time.

Also, last detail, some guy told me it's better to have a GSR engine than a ITR to put a turbo on it, since a GSR has less compression.. is it true?

Thanks in advance
Rock

a full conversion is probably a front clip which usually includes everything from the fenders up...

building an engine isnt something for newbies, its not even something for people that know alot about engines...building your block for turbo (internals, valvetrain, ie) takes precise machine work and expertise...its better to have it built at a machine shop and assembled by someone who knows honda motors...

the GSR vs. ITR question...yea the GSR has lower compression, but compression isnt an issue with a good tune, you will make more power with less boost on a higher compression motor..

Ok, thanks for the tip!!

So you're saying that with good tune.. I could keep my redline @ 8200, and keep the same compression ratio?

One question...are you buying a whole clip or just the front end pieces?
The conversion usually comes with fenders, bumper, lip(ITR), headlights, and radiator support. A front clip is basically the car cut in half with motor and all.
