I know you have 84.5mm bore but this would work fine. GE don't sell any non vtec HG. Only the over bored Vtec ones.
Using a stock gasket for .5mm oversized bore is a common practice. All you will notice is a tiny little lip of the headgasket sticking out. There's nothing to worry about. The headgasket will work just fine.
I've never had a darton block, but I'd be more concerned about this than your HG.

Are those water holes supposed to be all misalligned and out of round like that?

i 100% agree, that cant be sleeved right
if you do find a headgasket that matches up, it's not going to have misalligned holes.
i would contact whoever sleeved your block

really
what did they get sued for?

As some have pointed out, your sleeve install is definitely not the best. The holes between my cylinders lined up almost 100% perfectly. HOWEVER, your headgasket is OK. That's how the holes line up on some ports -- they don't. I originally had the same question for Darton and Cometic, but they both said that's how they will align (misaligned), and I have not had any cooling problems. Just make sure you coat the gasket and make sure your deck is 100% flat. Without my copper coating, I had slight oil leakage into coolant ports. Also double/tripple check your headstuds, and check torque specs after 24 hours. Cometic told me to torque to spec and recheck/retorque after 24 hours as the gasket 'settles' after being compressed. Just noting that my studs did actually tighen a little more after 24 hours.
Actually, if I remember correctly; compare the OEM gasket with an OEM head -- it's the same/similar. I'm pretty sure I compared an OEM gasket I had laying around and put it on a head and found the exact same scenario.

i bought the block used and i dont know where it was sleeved at other than at some shop in fresno, ca. should i fix the alignment problem or go through with the install and making sure the gasket is torqued properly. what should i use to cut throught the hg in order for it to fit on my block? thanks

I found who was responsible for sleeving that engine:

On a side note... were the sides of the sleeves (where the sleeves touch) already pre-cut or did the shop cut them?

it looks bad.. but we all know there is worse out there .. and working..
I would say its not good to have it like that.. but i think with the copper spray and the re tourge... you should be only.... as long as the ports are somewhat lined up .. becuase i think the ports on the head are smaller... then the ones on the block....
you CAN run a vtec gasket on a non vtec block.... no problem at all.. Get a GE gasket... bored out to your bore...
once you get the right gasket.... double check everything... by putting the gasket on the block and the head.. to check out what lines up and what doesnt... you should have no problems...
Best of luck man...
