question about 96-98 hatches
im very close to trading my 93 hatch for a 96-98 model. i'm not sure what year it is, i just know its a cx. my questions are do they have a/c and a tach factory? or will i have to find a cluster with a tach in it like i did for the hatch i have now? also, something i've been wondering. where does eg and ef and all that stuff come from, what does it mean, and what terms go with which cars?
You will have to get a new cluster... my 96 CX came w/ as but I'm sure some didn't.
EF = 88-91 civic/crx
DA = 90-93 teg
EG = 92-95 civic
EK = 96-00 civic
DC = 94-01 teg
These are chassis codes. There are also numbers that identify the body style of the car such as EK4... EK9 and such.

nope, you need 99-00 Si mounts on the rear and the driver side.
