need help with sputtering problem?!?!?
I swapped a stock 93 d16z6 motor into my 92 civic si hb because the old motor lost compression. After I swapped the new motor in, I've been having a sputtering problem under 3k rpm. If i try to gas it off the line it just boggs down and doesnt run properly until i get past 3k. I changed the fuel filter, checked the tp sensor, checked MAP sensor, changed out the fuel rail and injectors, timing is done, valves adjusted, spark plugs and wires are good, cap and rotor are cool also and it's still having this problem.... can sombody shoot me some ideas Please?

read his post dude, he just said he changed his plugs, wires, cap, and rotor..so it wouldnt be those...I have no clue though, I also have a sputtering problem but just at idle, runs fine after I give it some gas

hmm....I'm no doctor or nothing but maybe you put another fucked up engine in your car. If so, find the ******* that sold it to you and beat the **** outta them til they learn their lesson and finally agree to pay 4 a new tricked out engine for your HB. well...you get the idea...
thanks anyways... i think it may be the head gasket. I'm gonna try itout and see what happens. I'll let you all know what happens.

is there white smoke coming from your exhaust?? if not, then it is probably not the head gasket

no there is no smoke comin from my exhaust, but I changed the gasket and one of the layers was quite eroded around the number four cylinder. Even after changing the head gasket I still have the sputter. Is there any difference between a 92 intake manifold vs a 93 intake manifold?
