Anyone seen this problem before?
stage 2 clutch on my 94 rs.......when the clutch isnt used for an extended period of time (e.g. riding down the highway, when the car sits over night) it sinks to the floor. well when i'm on the highway it'll drop a little, but wont drop enough to engage, but when it sits over night and i go to get in it in the morning the clutch is sitting on the floor. i have to pick it up and then pump it a couple times and its fine. everytime i shift over 4k rpm it grinds going into gear. i make sure the clutch hits the floor and dont even really jam it, and it still grinds. it doesnt seem like its engaging all the way.
anyone got any ideas?

It sounds like you've got an air bubble in the line. Try bleeding the clutch. You're pressurizing the system when you pump it, essentially removing the air bubble. Bleed the clutch.

it is kinda a two person(5 minute) job one of you needs to bleed the clutch slave cylinder and top off clutch fluid while the other is pumpimg the clutch. one person can do it but it will take 3 times as long (almost 15 min)

nope, no leeks.......anyone got a price on a master cylinder, that is what my pops thinks the problem is too. (32 year mechanic) I finally got a chance to take the car to him so he could look at it. (i'm 2 hrs away at college)
Actually a more common problem involves the slave cylinder in the transmission. When the seals wear out it will start to leak and give these symtoms. This is definately the cause with performance clutches which cause increased wear on the slave cylinder. Pull back the rubber boot and check for fluid leakage. Also replace asap since clutch/brake fluid will mess up your clutch disc.
