last night i started hearing an odd noise while doing about 45 in 4th gear
i dont beat on the car....and there are no misshifts in my "record"
i was just driving like usual on my way home and as soon as i get above about 35-4000k i get this weird noise...i cant really explain it....kind of sounds liike a whirling noise
at first i thought maybe something was stuck in the shift boot area...so i pulled up on the shift boot and it only made the sound louder
any thoughts? its getting aggravating..and im gettin worried.
the car is a 2001 gsr....no major hp adders...so the tran has the original 43,000 miles on it...any help is appreciated

have you checked your oil?

 

check trans oil, and axles

 

i just got the oil changed about 2000 miles ago....due to get it changed in about a week or so.....im gonna get the car on a lift soon though and check everything out...maybe something is just caught somewhere

i searched on the topic...didnt find anything that pertained to me really....would it be trans related?
