not really sure about this one.. but when i did mine i used the z6 belt for my z6 head.. even with the tensioner loosen up all the way, that belt was a tight fit.. really tight. so im guessing, y8 belt..

I'm almost positive that the y8 and z6 belts are going to be the same...its basically the same w/ a few 'internal' difs....the vx belt is off of a d15..so there are some difs.....

but back to the whole thing about the belt being really tight, I'll definitely agree w/ that. that's the whole reason I never finished my mini-me and went zc instead (glad I did)....the belt was so damn tight and we were trying to get the tensioner 'in' as far as it would go and we broke the tensioner right out of the block! haha. a big chunk of aluminum came with it. that was the end of that block

the definitive answer...........
1.5 block uses 92-95 civic VX belt
1.6 block uses 92-95 OR 96-00 civic EX belt
vtec head Y8 orZ6 doesn't matter
the difference is in the height of the block
this is the final answer...trust me i have done the homework on these
