Default SV lovers click here...

So cute! I bet this thing is a blast to ride. If they offered this in the States, I might have bought one.

Why would you want that? You have a 650 right? You can get crazy hamfisted on a 650 y0!

What gets me is that it says MY 2005 on there, but the plastics look like pre-03 plastics.

Did the SV re-design (which is SO sexy) only happen in the States/Canadia?

That's what I'm thinking. Did some research and it looks like they still have the bubble look for '03 in UK.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI...&rd=1

Although, I'm not sure I trust that auction because it's listed as an SV650S K2 which techincally means it was an '02 not an '03. It looks like the '04 (K4) has the angular fairings so who the hell knows.

Did some reading on SV650.org and looked at pics since they're mostly UK folks. After looking at that I believe the K3 had the same look there as here.

Maybe they just didn't bother changing that 400?

they didn't change the 400, and i don't know why it would be a fun little bike, well more fun than the 650 becuase they just bored out the 400 to make a 650, everything else is the same(including weight). either way i wish they brought it here. it would compete well with the 250r

That's kinda what I was going to say, the weight seems the same, so it would be slower than 650 which is already kinda slow

Is the weight the same?

I dunno, I think it'd be more cute than anything else. But obviously slower in a line.

Yes and no. I enjoyed the hell out of my scooter and it only went 40mph.

I was talking to Apocalypse earlier about smaller bikes, and how cool it would be if there were smaller-displacement sportbikes made in the U.S. How cool would a CBR450RR be? Or a Yamaha R4?

There already was a CBR400(r?) made wasn't there? I see your point though, as long as the weight is adjusted accordingly, no point in having a 400 weigh the same as a damn 600
