Default how many quarts of mtf?

i just changed my tranny fluid a couple of weeks ago, and resently i've been having trouble getting into reverse, someone told me that its because i did not put enough mtf (i put 2.5 quarts) so how much are you supposed to put?

2.5 is more than enough
takes just over 2, like 2.2

ok, if its only about 2.5 then why do i suddenly have a problem of getting into reverse? i have to go into first and second then reverse just so it will go in with ease. also one more question how many people put the new mtf through the hole where the vehicle speed sensor (v.s.s.) goes? thats where i put it and its a whole lot easier than through the bottom.

i recently changed my mtf and i put in at least 2.5 quarts(thats how much it took before it started running out the top hole. i have been having some trouble lately getting into first too, i am wondering if i put in too much mtf. where is the speed sensor located?

I think its a common problem for most honda trannys, I usually just put it in 1st then R....or release the clutch & press it again, try put into R again.

You might have put too much, I think the actual spec is 2.2 quarts

I always just put 2 quarts

Because you forgot to open the garage door before trying to back out.

on the top of the tranny near the charcoal canister can't miss it, it only has one nut holding it down
