CTR N1 CRANK PULLEY VS SHAVED STOCK b series PULLEY
The machine shop told me that it was better to shave the ac and ps pulley of my stock gsr pulley instead of buying the ctr n1 crank pulley. He told me if i was going to use my car for street use to not install the ctr pulley because it doesn't have a damper which could do some engine damage. Is it true what he's saying? He also told me the pulleys that do not have a damper like the ctr n1 are only used for race conditions .

That wouldn't be necessary to change your alternator pulley. Althought you do have to go and get a different size belt. I was direct to getting a certain one from NAPA and that is what I have been using for at least two years now. My setup is a GS-R in a EG chassie. If you need the NAPA part number I can dig it up for you?
i have done alot of reading about the n1 pulley. if you think about it the 88-91 b16 pullies didnt come dampered from the factory making it just the same as the n1.. there isnt anythnig to worry about
