Q for s2000 owners
Those that have had the car for a while, do you still rate it or would you look at alternatives with more interest than you would say a year ago?
I like them I really do but each time I drive one I end up feeling a bit cheated on what 'could' have been.

As for a second car, it doesnt get much better than this.... well, yes It does... a 360 CS would be nice
But If I had to drive it everyday, I would have looked for alternatives....
Like Nishant said, I love the car, plain and simple

very few cars still excite me as much as the S2000 does. I still look over my shoulder and say "ahh" when I walk away from it. and this is after 4 years of ownership.
yes, it is still exciting to drive, but sometimes I wish there was a car to just get in and go down the block, instead of wedging myself in and out of the car (even though I'm an averaged sized guy).

my choice was evo or s2000. i bought s2000, dont regret it at all.
needless to say though, once my S is paid off, i will be buying an evo for a second car

after a year i still can't seem to put the keys down... and it still puts a smile on my face..

I've driven a bunch of other cars, some of them boosted, and I still feel that the s2k is a funner drive. Driving my buddies SC'd s2k was
.
I still look forward to every drive in my s2k and it has almost been a year. Right now, I look forward to the drive to work in 20 minutes. Even better because the top is going down today (random warm february day in NJ). If you need a practical car then an s2k isnt for you. Personally, I don't take my car out if I go out with my buddies or whatever and I dont have a job where I have to lug crap to\from work so I figured an s2k suited me well.

I used to look and research Porche, Lotus, MR2, etc. and all are good cars that handle well, if not better. But look what Honda did with the basics! None of these cars can compare to the S2000 for 2.0l (and 2.2l), the money, and of course Honda engineering. I hear about the complaints about the radio, the rear window of the 1st two years.... I would compare it to the Truimph, MG, and Austin Healey, but if you ever owned or worked on one of those you'd probably call a Ford a very reliable car! If I want to transport more people, thinks I'll drive my Honda sedan; if I want a little more open air thrill, I'll drive my old 650 Honda Nighthawk; but for sheer driving pleasure,performance-S2000!
Absolutely love it...but i myself am happy with my CL-S as a daily driver and my wife using the S as a daily driver. We had a few choices in mind when we bought ours new, 350Z was one but it didnt fair well in comparison just because honestly, as my wife put it, it isnt as cool...lol. There were several other cars in the mix as we came down to our final decision, but nothing really got majorly in the way of our purchase.
We love it so much we convinced my wife's parents to skip the Z4 they were looking at and go with an S2000, they drove ours a few times, took it to the mountains one weekend when we went on a business trip, and they fell in love, they are taking delivery of their black 2005 in 3 weeks...had to special order it because they wanted the red/black interior on a black one, and they paid a pretty penny extra to get it...i didnt see the worth but this is their retirement car, fun weekend get away car, so i imagine they'll get what they want.
No regrets...get one.

Love the car. I don't have any complaints about it being my daily driver. Weekend ride is a Ducati 748S, no complaints there either. When I really have to carry ****, its the CR-V. Best car out there for the price, and you dont have to worry about $100 bmw oil changes or $1000 ferrari brake jobs. Do that **** yourself.
i've driven lots of cars that are faster than the s2000 but to me, the s2000 is still the most fun to drive. theres just a special feeling you get each time you get to drive one

you forgot the sexy body lines of the S...
let me put it this way:
the s2000 makes me want to wake up 5:30 am every morning so i can drive it. the s2000 makes a regular 5 mile trip into a 25 mile trip. my gasoline bills are ridiculous b/c all i want to do is drive, drive , drive. running errands have never been so fun.
