Default How do i adjust my new coilovers?

Hey guys this might seem like a dumb question to yall but its not to me. I had my Ground Control coilovers professionally installed in September and the height was adjusted to 2.0" by the parson who did it. Well the weather is getting nice out again and i wanna drop it down to 2.5" but i dont know how to do it by myself. Should i jack the car up and how exactly do i turn the sleeves, i have the wrenches the coilovers came with But how will i know the car is even all around. Any help would be appreciated.

You dont turn the sleeves, you turn the 2 rings that the end of the spring sits on. Loosen the lower one first, taking pressure off the upper one, lower the lower one down, then lower the top one down on top of it.

And how will you know if its even all around? Use a tape measure.

on the groundcontrols, there is only one ring that you adjust actually

but yeah all you do is just losen the screw on it with your allen key or whatever its called and then set it lower to lower the height. Using a tape measure when dropping your height will come in handy alot.
Once your all done, just tighten the screw up and your good to go. Watch our when your driving, you might hear a "pop" when you take a turn at some random time, but its just the spring setting into place, dont worry.

edit: damn im too slow =P

you use the little wrench and loosen that little bolt on the goldish ring that the bottom f the spring sits on, then you twist it down, then you tighten ring. count how many turns you loosen and you will get the same drop all the way around.

The best way for me to do it is this..

1)Look at the gap between your fender and tire tread on the front wheels.

2)Figure out what the new drop will be. (tapemeasure, eyeball it, whatever)

3) Raise the front of the car on jackstands, remove wheels.

4)From the bottom of the coilover, count the number of threads to the perch on both sides. (for example, they may be at "12" on both sides.

5)Look at the gap between the perch and the last thread on the coilover. this now represents your fender gap.

6)Take your allen wrench and loosen the perch. Move the perches down to whatever the new thread is you picked for the perches to rest at. (For example, you might go from "12" to "7"now. Apply this exact adjustment to the other front wheel.

7)Tighten the perches into place with the allen wrench.

8)Put your wheels back on and lower the car to the ground. (don't forget to tighten your lug nuts!)

9)Check out the new height.

10) Go to the rear of the car, repeat the steps for the front.

11) Cruise by your local mall so no one will even care how low your car is when they see it.
