Default ep3 with jrsc

Hi
I did a search and found a little of what I need, but know I am looking for anyone with a ep3 supercharged with jrsc, and what they like/dislike about it and what mods do they have along with numbers they are putting down, and also what model charger do they have the race or the street.

I am doing this for a friend because he doesn't have time to get on the net and do it for his self. He has a 2002 ep3 with I/E/H and he is thinking about getting the jrsc race kit, just looking for anyone with similar setup. Thank You in advance.

i had the street kit jus for the fact the race kit wasnt out. i loved the s/c so much funner to drive. i would definitly go with the race version. as far as hp i think 200-220 depending on mods. best bet is to check out ephatch.com, their dyno section. several guys with the race and street versions hve got their dyno charts/numbers posted up.

I have a 2002 EP3 with the Race Kit. I also have an AEM CAI, DC Sports Shorty Header, Random Tech hi-flow cat, Borla catback and Hondata K-Pro.

What I like about it? Always there grunt. It doesn't matter where your RPM's are or what gear you are in, you step on the gas and it just goes. It is also as maintenance free as you can get short of leaving your car stock.

What I don't like? Not much really. The only real problem is that it is limited. Once you have the race kit that is about all you can get. If you try to run more boost the IAT's are going to get so high you won't be able to stop the detonation. Remember this is not intercooled, and I don't think anyone will ever make an intercooler for it.

Power wise? Since I have the K-Pro I did have it tuned. On a Dyna-pack I put down 194whp and 144 torque untuned running the supplied hondata tune. After tuning I put down 217whp and 174 torque.

You can always use different crank pullies *hint, hint* to get more boost. But Jackson states it's only efficient to about 11lbs. Wonder if jackson is coming out with a water to air intercooler like comptech's....?..

I doubt it. There just isn't room for it the way the JRSC is set up.

But if you do you still run into the problem of intake air temps. Without some sort of intercooler/aftercooler the air is just going to get too hot with any significant increase in pressure no matter how you go about getting it.

I believe it was hondata that came up with a prototype 3.8" pulley, but I haven't heard anything about it being produced. The only other option I am aware of is the 3.4" pully for the RSX, and IMHO that would be too small.
