Default Where to find Technical info?

I have a DC2 integra which I am looking to convert into a race only car and I was wondering if there are any sites I could go to get ideas, tips and pictures on what to do with my car. Like what can be removed, what I should do in regards to the details that people put into their race only cars. I see many people have toggle switches and panels removed and what not. I already have a roll cage but now I want to pay attention to detail and such. Anyone know of any web sites I can visit to read up and learn about this?

Build to the rulebook of the series that you want to compete in.

You have found it right here. There is probably more info here or available linked from here on racing Acuras and Hondas than anywhere else on the web. Maybe there is a bit more noise and chaff here sometimes but the depth of knowledge and firsthand experience is remarkable.

RJ is right, your next step is deciding where you are going to use it and getting the rulebook that is appropriate. Do not spend money and build a car *****-nilly without having an actual use and rulebook unless you don't mind losing a lot of money and effort undoing what you have already done.

What im searching is interior pictures with explanations of some of the things people put in their cars. Why do some people have toggle switches on their dash and what purpose do the serve? The main problem I have is that I live in Newfoundland and the only race here is Targa Newfoundland (www.targanewfoundland.com). This race is only once a year so there isnt much exposure to the racing scene. too bad... Just for one month I would like to live somewhere where there is a race track or Solo 1 or roadracing (sigh)...
Does anyone have any interior pics of their racers?

Do an archived search for "race car" specifically for the RR/Autox forum, bunch of stuff comes up. As for toggles and switches and such, I'd imagine a lot of them are for switching things on that no longer have a switch due to their original switch being thrown out with a stock dash or something. Other things like fuel pump come to mind as well. On a more complicated open-class type car there's undoubtedly oodles of other thingies that require switches and toggles.

Have you done the targa? my father is considering entering the race after a couple years of hpde'ing. he and i would co-drive his '76 911s. is it really worth the considerable entry fee?

Well my father drives my car in the race and I am the "mechanic/support crew" for him and his friend. They have competed in the past two Targa Newfoundland rallies and their going back again this year. Most people who do compete come back again and again and say each time that it was the most fun they ever had. People from as far as australia attend each year and they say they will be back. In my honest opinion - Its the best experience in the world and thats just from my perspective as a crew support. Think about it you get to drive as fast as you want on city streets all over our province, from resedential neighborhoods to long straight highways where they say 200kph is the limit but people usually go bout 230kph. The entry fee is minimal, all you need are like a couple of sponsors to cover that. Check my sig for the web site to our targa. Its the only Targa in North america as far as I know. I would like to see more honda's compete in this race. Right now there is only our team and my buddys team so we itch to see more Honda/Acura guys here.
