Default AEM V2 questions

I have a 94 ls, and right now I have aem short ram intake. I know that aem boasts that the V2 is the best cold air you can buy. So, I have a couple of questions. (sorry if I sound like a newbie...I am. And yes I searched and didnt find what I was lookin for) Will the V2 give me more horsepower? (how much). Because the V2 and most other cold air intakes sit so low to the ground in the front of my car, is there a worry of it sucking up water if I go through a puddle, and what can I do to prevent that? What is the best intake that I can put on my car? I cannot afford a turbo or any kind of forced induction. Thanks to all those who give advice.

if you already have an intake then spend the money on a header or exhaust. The V2 will give you maybe 1-2 more hp than what you have now.

An intake is an intake you are not going to be seeing really noticeable improvement from what you have currently. You can get more power with a free flowing exhaust and header.

Or save the money and get some used cams and gears. They cost maybe $4-500 in the classifieds. That is including the cams and the gears to adjust them too.

Also you can advance your timing a little to get a little more hp for free.

I juts installed the V2. Its not as easy as putting the regular aem on a integra (gotta replace the mount and relocate ac lines)

Overal, just swapping from aem to AEM V2, i noticed a difference. Pulls a little harder then regular aem.

I also juts insatlled a 4-1 header right after. Woke it right up. I'll have it dynoed within the next month. On my ls with dc sport catback, pacestter leaking 4-2-1 header and regular AEM i put down 130whp and 117 trq.
