b16. Stock it would be just as fast with much more reliability. Not the kind of posts that should be on here though.

How the hell can u make that comparison without knowing how the d16 is built. A stock d-series such as the d16z6 has close to the amount of torque a b16 has. So we need more info. But like the other guy said, this is gonna get flamed and locked.

when i had my car with i/h/e/short shifter i beat an SI with a CAI. look at baseline dynos, d16 makes more power over 2500-3800 rpms.

long run though, b16

i read somewhere that a d16 makes the same amount of power as a b16 until 5500 rpms where the b16 makes like 30more hp and 10 more ftlb torque//

now with a fairily built d16z6

n/a
cams/ pnp/ higher comp.. would be faster then a b16 i think..

instead of getting a b swap for a 92-95 civic im just turboing my d16z6 and will be making alot more hp and tq then a stock b16...

now if you own a 99-00 si or say a delsol vtec then yea keep the motor.. but imo its not worth spending 2-3gs for a used stock motor with only 30 more hp then your stock motor..d16.. use the 2-3gs and put it into the D and smoke the B hands down..

Do you think that motor has any sort of chance of lasting as long as a stock B16. You spent 2-3g's turbo'ing it now, but your gonna spend that 2 fold if you make it so it runs like a b16 does everyday. (or at least keep it turbo'd and running for 150k miles)

yes the motor can last just as long..

im gettin my p28 chipped with neptune and jeff evans will be tuning it.

http://www.evans-tuning.com

so yes i do think it will last as long.. and if it blows up its all good cause we all know ppl like you dont think d series is good so i should be able to buy it off ya for cheap right? lol..

turbo car will run just as good as stock if its tuned right..

i have 255lph walbro, 450cc correct inject injectors.. and it will be dyno tuned with a wideband.. my total cost into my turbo will be around hte same price as a swap.. yet ill have what.. around 200whp/ 175 torque and be "reliable"

heres a couple d's jeff tuned..
