Attending driving class/HPDE in March, advice for car prep?
To keep it short and simple, I'll be attending this event in late March and will be using my daily driven CRX. It will be my first time doing anything like this and aside from checking brakes, tires and fluids, what else would everyone recommend double-checking or refreshing before I go?
I got the "Since you will be driving fast for quite a while, it is strongly suggested you check your tires, bleed the brakes, and check the pads before you go." but I just wanted to see if there were any other little bits of advice I could get, like any parts on a 15 year old (but still well maintained) car that should definately be checked.
well i give some parts of my car a thorough inspection between events - wheel bearing, tie rods inspection, brake system inspection (remove calipers, check the lines, abs wires/sensors, etc for wear/leaks), earl leaks under the hood, and so forth. And a few times a year I will check the torque on all the susp bolts and inspect the b00shings. I would do all of that if the car has not seen track duty. It can take a while, but take care of your equipment and it will take care of you
