Default just put trans into integ...makes horrible popping/clicking/noise when turning

recently my friend bought a s1 trans with a lsd on the boards

the guy shipped it good and the guy is reputable,

me/friend put the trans in his 2nd gen integ w/gsr motor in a couple hours

turned the car on...drive down the hill ..while making any silght left or right turn of the wheel..the car makes a horrible clicking/popping noise, axles are fine, all the axles are in...could it be the lsd thats messed up? i noticed popping noise around trans area while he was going down the hill...happens no MATTER what speed, havnet drove it even past 5 mph due to this horrible noise

what would be the symptoms of a bad lsd?, this is a gear type Lsd

sounds like to me you guys popped the axle out, happened to a friend when you guys take it out if you pull on it to hard it will snap.....then clunk clunk everywhere especially turning.

yeah you have to use a prybar to get out the axles, try some new axles first cause its most likely that and the cheapest solution

the axles are fine , installl was fine, im thinking its the lsd, the guy said he had it inspected at a shop first...got the trans nice and clean with a tag on it.

when my friend was turning even a silght bit the horrible noise appeared..and this is at very very slow speed

im thinking its the lsd .

bump, we already tried to put a new axle in the min we heard the problem, we went and put a spare axle in it, still noise

he drove the car in the air...no noise at all even when turned so would that dismiss the lsd?
