Default Greg Anderson @ Winternationals

So Greg qualified # 7 this weekend with a 728. If anyone could come out and run a 69 in the season opener I would figure it would be him. At least in the top 3. How did 6 people outrun Anderson all weekend?

Early in the coverage they had an interview with him and he said that he was running a test motor, that had never been ran before. He said that he had learned his lesson and wouldn't be trying a new motor at a race again. I couldn't believe that he was doing that. I'm sure that he'll be as good as new by the next race.

i personally think that the other teams did their homework over the winter and found some power..no offense but i think greg and jason line won't be as dominant this year as they were last year..i would seriously watch out for dave connelly(grumpy jenkins motors are sick)

They just had a bad weekend...bad luck haunted them thursday, he had a decent qualifying run in second round which was his first time able to get down the track. He ran well in first round of eliminations..second round he got schooled by a very quick Kurt Johnson who layed down the quickest run of the round. I have a feeling that some people have caught up with him but then again its only the first race of the season....

Personally..Im glad he didnt make it past second round..lol

Go Warren J. !!

I thought this would make for some good conversation since its so dead in here.

Why in the world would a team like that run a motor that hadn't been tested and tested? They've had time...I just don't buy it. I think they are so successful because they always have their **** together and I just didn't see it this weekend.

Dave Connelly is the man showing all those old guys how to drive. In my opinion that was your rookie of the year last year

old WJ looks like he's going to make the last one a good one, he's got one hell of a chassis builder too

I wouldn't count Anderson out yet. he mite have to step it up on the tree this year though.

I agree, Connelly is going to be a force to be recond with this season. But we cant count out alot of the other teams which are on top of their game... but im rootin for Connelly...
I dont care too much for warren johnson, so i was very happy when Connelly took him in the finals...

I was even more suprised by seeing Force racing out the first round in Funny car, and I think Schumacher bit off more than he could chew early on, both teams are going to be sucessful as the season goes on.

Yes, Greg Anderson was using a test motor. I'm glad he did not make it any farther as he was not very approachable. I NEVER stop by the Pro Stock pits and this time I stop by his pit and witnessed his crew member telling a small kid Greg was too busy to sign his shirt... Not cool... Yes, we all know they have a limited time between rounds and they have a routine to follow but the kid was the only one at his pit...

Very good point, with grumpy concentraiting on only one car this season, it can give Connelly the edge he'll need to pull off a championship season... But we can not forget that this was just the first race, and there is still a long season ahead and anything can and will happen...

Dont count him out yet

His Shop was across the street from me..

They moved this past year ..

Moving a team allways gets things out of wack...

Last I heard They found some more power..

I wouldnt Be surprised to see some records smashed

Next race...

Even if they didn't find power they would still be stomping on most everyone.

I am really pulling for WJ this season...class act

I was standing next to WJ at the SEMA show and he gave me a look like don't even say a word to me. We were both looking at a prostock car with a Mountain Motor in it. Some other guy came up and tried to say something to him and WJ just stared at him. Never said a word.
