Got my bike sept. 14th of 2004, so 5months. OH and Pelican, what grup were you ridin in?

Wasn't. If I crashed, I'd have to walk back to Jax. I rode in Monday on a Blue R6 and just walked around talking to people, but left at like 11.

Yeah, I rode motocross when I was 14 and 15. I just watch and learn. My best time there was 1:28.xxx, I thought that was pretty good for a totally stock sv.

Yeah, it just turned out to match. I purchased my gear about a month prior to purchasing a bike. Guess i got lucky that the bike was red

 

Awesome pics. Though i've never had the opportunity to take my bike to the track, I heard those SVs are awesome to race (track days, club races etc....) Especially because they don't have so much horsepower you aren't burning up your tires out of every turn That is pretty crazy you have only been riding 5 months. Motocross does help though. I have a friend that rode/raced dirtbikes growing up, and when he hopped on a street bike for the first day he had a tough time like everyone else, and after that he was basically just as good as guy who had been riding for years.
