I'm just curious about my VIN. I drive a '92 GSR, and I'm trying to find out how close to the first one built I have. My VIN ends in 800044, and it's build date is Jan '92. As far as I've seen, all '92s end in 8XXXXX. Can I see some other VINs for comparison.

It's number 44 off the line

 

My 92 LS's last 6 digits starts with a zero. 024xxx, but my understanding is that the last 6 digits (serial number) don't have anything to do with the order they were made and don't necessarily start with 8. The only way you can check if its a GSR or LS Special is if the 8th digit in the VIN is an 8. I can't remember my build date, I think it was in early 92 though.
