Default annodized metal question

I got a set of Rota MSR's in this trade thing that i did with a buddy of mine, they are black with a red annodized lip. this is the thing though, i guess they used the wheels to paint **** on, so there is multi colored pain all over them, green, black, red, all kinda ****. i am wondering if i spray some aircraft remover on them will the red portion of the lip go back to bare metal??? or does anyone know a good way to get that **** off..i used some paint reducer on a part of it, and it kinda worked, so is there any other suggestions to get them looking right. TIA

hey i wouldnt touch them with aircraft remover... i would try some Kerosine (think thats how you spell it).. It helps get paint off metal sometime without damaging it.. if not you could take the wheels to a wheel refinisher and have them look at it.. see what they say, they may be able to help you out with a cheap price, or even give you an idea as to how to remove it..

hope that helps
