after market PULLEYS are they worth it?

Default after market PULLEYS are they worth it?

I have a ZC SOHC, no ps I want to know if crank, alternator and cam pulleys are worth the money. Do they save weight etc..

Skip the crank and alternator pullies. They really aren't worth it imo. The cam gears would be a good investment if you have aftermarket cams or are looking to tune the cam timing a bit. Otherwise they are a waste of money and won't save that much weight

i think they are worth it on an allmotor car. cam gear especially to adjsut timing.

"for turbo" i would rely on engine management. lightweight crankshaft pulleys and adjustable cam gears are not needed for FI. neither is a lightened flywheel. "for turbo"

I would skip the crank pulley on a D-series...it is called a "harmonic balancer" there is a thread in the archives about it....many people effed up the bottom end by putting on listened crank pulleys

yeah and in the thread it shows that the older d-series (d16a6) doesnt have the harmonic balancer on the crank pulley (its on the oil pump)...so yes, a light weight crank pulley would be good for this engine...

are you sure?? i was reading and i found that only B-series engine are insternally counter balanced, find me some information on this please!

ohh yeah, and a SOHC ZC is basically a JDM D16A6

I've seen and heard some bad **** happen with an aftermarket crank pulleys. The cam gears , as far as the alternator pulley i really dont know about that one i dont know anyone who runs those
