Default How much HP can a d16y7 hold

hey guys i was just wondering how much can a d16y7 rods hold before they brake on boost, and how much PSI can i go with tunning duh!.
im gonna try to do this very soon im doing my research.
i got a friend that i put a d16y7 together in a CRX and hes doing 15.01 with 3rd gear missed. with just headersand the intake manifold changed to an SI from a 90 civic. and exhaust. nothing else. yea yea its the weight. i know. oh yea and a SI tranny.
so im thinking of boosting it now for him.

D16Y7's puede sostener probablemente alrededor 250 WHP con un extremo inferior común. El alza no importa porque cantidades de la bomba de diverso turbo diversas de aire en la misma PSI.

Online search resulted in the following for a translation.

D16Y7's can maintain probably around 250 WHP with a common lower extreme. The rise it does not matter because quantities of the bomb of diverse I disturb diverse of air in the same one PSI.

it can hold around 200-230 safetly. But remember tuning is the key.

on a stock y7 you should be able to get up to 185. with out many problem. but thats with good tuning. and i mean good. with a stock motor i would say keep it under 200 whp. anything over that and you have to build up the enternals. but remember to get it tuned the right way first or you can kiss your motor good bye.
