Leather was not an option on the Si. Some dealers put it in themselves, which is why it looks like crappy reapholstering. Kinda like how dealers put AC into earlier ITRs before it came stock.

Hondas don't really have options, they have trim levels...and the Si was the trim level. Cloth seats.

So anyway, your friend is right.

 

I know a guy on here who has them in his EBP Si but go figure i cant remember his name and search isnt working atm

Then it was "dealer installed" but ive seen several pairs of the crappy upholstered "Si" seats looks like the ones with the H except it says Si if search worked id post a picture of them , dude with a ls/vtec EM1 had them in his car in the vehicles for sale forum.

 

I have also seen numerous ones with the red Si in the backrest.

 

I too have seen SI's with Black Leather Seats with "Si" in red stitched in them. Installed from the Dealer. So, yeah, youre right. Your friend is wrong.

His friend is right. Dealer installed doesn't mean ****...hell, a dealer by my house sold a brand new Lancer with an aluminum wing, doesn't mean you can say "Lancers came with aluminum wings"...

An individual dealer could do whatever they want, leather was NOT stock on EM1s.

"stock" means is comes from the dealer. That's my take on it. I know every dealer does their own thing. But when i say stock from dealer that's what i literally mean. It's stock and it came from the HOnda Dealer. End oF story! Do a search, there have been many threads about the Si seats and it has already been proven. SOmeone has pics of these seats somewhere. PostIT!

leather was not a option from honda on the si's, it is a option
from individual dealers

so as soon as the dealer changed the way it came from honda the car is no
longer stock as you put it, it is now modified

like mentioned above iv seen dealers do all kinds of **** to cars, theres a local honda dealer around me that decided to put 18 racing hart rims, aem intakes, eibach springs, a system, on new si's and these cars are not considered stock because there being sold like this are they? now that is the exact same thing as a dealer putting leather seats in a car

Dealerships aren't owned by the manufacturer...

I could own an Acura dealership, take brand new TLs, paint them yellow, put lambo doors on them along with altezzas, and that would be stock?

It's aftermarket...they're seat covers.

That's not really a good comparison. In a sense you're right, but the dealer-installed AC is at least the OEM Honda AC unit.

But yeah, those leather seats are not factory stock.

 

This is stupid. the orginal question was whether SI's came with leather seats with the Si's stitched in it... and the answer is YES they did come with leather seats with SI stitched in it. From the HONDA DEaler.. i don't care if it's MOM N POP HOnda of AMerica... my point is YES SI's did come like that from the Dealer. Can we end this now?? damn... stupid shitballs

You're still not 100% accurate. To say that the leather seats were available from "the dealer" means that they'd be available from all dealers, which is not true.

As was said before, these were dealer-specific options. If they were truly a real Honda accessory, you'd be able to find it in the Honda accessory catalogs. But, that accessory doesn't exist, so...

The answer is NO, they did not arrive from the factory like that, they were a dealer-specific option.
