Default JUST FINISHED THE FLAT BLACK HATCH!!!!!!!!!! PICS INSIDE

I posted before about what type of Flat Black paint to use. Well I went with Rustoleum Satin Flat Black. I love it and compared to the previous look of dents all over and rust with it half primered forever I can't be happier. I did bodywork for about 2 weeks "ROOKIE" and did the best I could. This was my first time painting a car, well pretty much anything with a gun. I could've done more bodywork but was getting tired of doing it. This will get me by till next year when I finidh the once started WRS blue. The engine bay it blue but the rest is flat black. Hope everyone like the pics let me know and don't hate on me I know there is Hail damage and other bodywork that is still fucked up.

def. needs some more work on the roof though, any dents will be def. show once you actually begin to lay paint.

Good luck on your project though.

Yeah sorry about the lighting but it has been raining since I been done and I couldn't take good pics outside. Plus my friend came by with the digital camera so I had a chance and took it. When I get totally done putting the turbo in and painting my wheels I will post some better pics.

Yeah I have a shitload of hail damage but that won't be fixed till next year when I paint it the Blue. This was like a primer till I get the funds to get it done good. I figured turbo would be funner than a great blue paint job.

Looks pretty even. And not blochy like some of the DIY flat black paint jobs I have seen. Congrates.

Thanks for the replys. I'm sanding the wheels now and painting them with the wheel paint "Graphite" it doesn't look bad at all but I only have done one since I'm in the middle of moving right now. I will post pics later in the week of it outside. It's not a perfect paint job at all just a DIY style that cost me $55 total. I'm not out to impress but if you seen what my car looked like b4 you'd be amazed. lol I didn't have a rear bumper, rust, dents, primer spots etc. to what it looks like now I'm very happy.

You just use some armorall paste, it will help even it out and get rid of some of the overspray and give it a nice shine. However it looks really shiny now, so I don't know if it is necessary, but if you get curious in the future try it I am going to do a similar writup in the summer and you will all see the glory of waxing!

Thanks for the info on how to post pics.

Yeah I had to dondo the car the hood, rear, roof only a small part and both sides doors-back. The wheelwells were rusty like normal so I had to weld sheetmetal there. If you look up close you can see where I put bondo and it isn't sanded good enough but it works for the time being. I thought of going with a black primer but I didn't want to **** with the rust so I painted it with the rustoleum.

I hope you put clear coat on that (Satin finish). I'm thinking of doing the same to my project CRX until it can get a proper paint job.
