Old School! Tribute to SEM Street Tire Porsche
Some pics from SEM's street tire Porsche, retired 2 years ago to make way for their GTI that has set records in the VW scene. The car was truely an animal on the track and all times were done with Toyo RA-1 tires. Just imagine if it had some meaty BFG's on! Best time was 10.32@154 mph. Wheelie in second gear, it was amazing. The motor is still around. (could this be a sign...?)

That thing was FRIGGIN SCARY to watch. I've never seen a car use more of the track surface than that car!! Marco was an ANIMAL when driving that. He almost never lifted. No matter how squirrely it got. I'm glad he decided to retire it, before we had to retire him from Life. Props to a cool old school car

Hope Greg will find some video of the car and post it. You really have to see this beast in action to appreciate it. I remember at St. Thomas, Marco was inches off the wall at the 90 ft mark. So he backs off, gets the car straight. And still clicks off 140 mph!!! Marco was a nuts for a while.. I think he's calmed down a bit now though. Again, props to a cool car and crazy pilot!

I remember almost 5 years ago when I saw Eddie's car down MIR. That thing was going 10.0's doing wheelies in 1st, 2nd and 3rd! His best was 8.90 at 160ish mph over 4 years ago! That was on Toyo RA-1's and a 5 speed! I love Supras but that 911 was nasty! It was a shame that he got in trouble with the law with that car theft ring scenario. I would love to see that 911 battle the street tire Supras.

He had a pro car built after this as well that was a 996 body I blieve and looked killer (way underweight), too bad neither of these cars are around.

Marcos Porsche was nuts. He'd walk that car out of the hole and then hammer it and still run a 10 at 150mph. If he could've launched that car without it going sideways it would've went quicker. Both Marco Preanno and Marco Passante are nuts.

Yeah Sean,
Understatement of the Year! "Marco Preiano and Marco Passante are Nuts!"
Both have brilliant talent though.. That's the scary part.

Didn't Bello have his car tube-chassis and then the factory body panels over it. Hell no car that is unibody can take wheelies like that. It would just bend!
He is you video for the ones who were asking.

Reading about Eddie brings back alot of memories. That car was crazy!!! I was talking to him once and I bumped into the tail pipes and they moved. I said sorry about that and he said"Don't worry about it there made to move. I got sick of breaking them off". He once drove all the way down to Fla. for a race ran low 9's and on the way out of the track someone rear ended him. That was the funnest car to watch in the history of import drag racing. The funnest thing was watching him beat up on Peter Farrell.

Nah, his car was just a normal, uncut, unibody 911 with a 6 point. Looked over the entire car myself. I'm pretty sure it had lexan though but that was it.
