I just got the old set a couple of weeks ago before the new ones were up.

I am sad because

A. The old ones will probably drope more in price
and.
B. The new ones are supposed to be better in the rain.

They are ~$30 more per tire in 205/50-15.

?? I could care less if the tread pattern said "I am 100% GAY!" as long as the **** grips.

Funny you would say that!!! I had a guy ask me if I had tried out my tires! He reccomended "Hitting the canyons" to test them out. I laughed at him and drove away!! What a moron!!! Canyon runs

I'd prefer the old ones unless the RT-615 will actually last long enough to justify the ~$30 hike in price.

A note on RT-615 pricing. You probably have noticed that the RT-615 is priced significantly higher than the older RT-215 (Azenis Sport). We assure you this is not an attempt to gouge our fellow auto enthusiasts. These tires are marked-up using our standard, value-minded Falken markup. Falken Tire Co. has chosen to set the price point much higher on this new tire.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

I would think Falken is planning on discontinuing the Azenis Sport (RT-215) in favor of a better margin with RT-615.

people who are stupid enough to buy a 200 or less treadwear tire with no intentions of gripping anything.

i was at sema n talked to some guys from falken they said the tire would be lighter n a better performer in the rain....my interpretation...softer side wall n less grip in dry conditions old azenis

the older pattern looked like it had a larger contact patch and beefier sidewalls.

I think all it comes down to is how they preform in the dry. If they can preform better or on par with the old ones I give them a thumbsup for being able to make the better in the rain while holding the dry integrity.
