What shocks are you running? If you are going to run OEM, they will blow out very quickly. I would highly reccomend something like the Koni Yellows, Tokico Illumina's, or possibly even the KYB AGX's. Those are both good springs that will drop you between 1.5 inches to 2.25 inches. You might also want to consider some G.C.'s, which are very good as well. Personally, I am running the Koni Sport Kit, which can be had at a very reasonable price, and works like a dream. On full soft, it rides just a slight bit firmer than OEM, and at full stiff, well....my kidney's hurt
. Check out the suspension forum, and the shock dyno's, which will tell you which are the best, and, with the exception of the KYB"s, the Koni's and the Tokico's are closely priced.

Well, it really depends on your intention of the car. If it's for style, do whatever you like, if it's for drag, go with custom rate GC's, if it's a daily driver that sometimes sees autox, go with the ones mentioned.
You can find the Sport Kit at quite reasonable prices (around 550 ish) if you look around, including ebay, and http://www.shox.com. IMHO, that's a very good deal for the high quality shocks, and a great spring rate.

I had the same problem of figuring that out when i first got my car....so i just went with skunk2 coilovers and tokico illumina's. (If i were to do it all over, it would be koni yellows and GC's). Here's my car with 205-45-16 and aprox 2.25" drop....gonna drop it lower again when summer comes around!

Hey man, I am thinking about going with this very setup. Do you like it? I want to go with this because of the tokico illuminas are very good, next best to koni yellows. Also I want a sleeve-type coil because of the height-adjustability. Let me know man.

As i stated above, if i were to do it all over....i'd either save up a few more bucks and get the TEIN SS set up or the koni yellows w/ ground controls. Ride quality is decent imo, but I think the tokico illuminas run on the rough side. If i soften up the suspension, the car starts to dip, and ride quality still kinda sucks. Once you soften it up, sure you got handles on the road, but you feel every bump, rock, crevase in the road. I've ridden in cars w/ the koni's and gc's and cars with the tien ha and ss's. Those cars road exactly the way I've wanted......save up a few more $$$ in my opinion
