Default Stolen block?

I saw this on ebay and I was wondering why the 9 was shaped oddly in the block number.

Is it like this normally or was it altered to hide a stolen number?

Thanks!

Looks normal...only other number it could be is "1", and the 1 would most likely look like "1" and not "l"

All the 9's seem to look like that almost like it's patented

no all cops need is to impound your car until you can provide a reciept from an engine importer. Be carefull giving this advice I know the local impound yard has a couple in this perdicament

cops cant impound ur car without a reasonable reason and asking for a receipt before giving u the car is extortion. they have the burden of proof to say ur engine is stolen not you to prove its not.

your failure to provide documentation. In case you have'nt noticed the CHP and other orginizations have become very aware of the leaglities of replacement engines enough to know k20 is not k20a3

They will remove your engine and give you the car back. If you buying an engine from anywhere and your not getting a reciept than you can easily be in possesion of stolen goods and ignorace is not innocence the last time I checked
