Default Love your fellow EFer

Do you say anything or wave, nod, or even acknoweledge other EF enthusiasts out there? For the most part all I get is the deer in the headlights look or the evil nemesis stare from most honda kids, I just wanted to see if we could get something started of that nature simply because there are so few EFs left on the streets.

If I see a CRX parked at a gas station or something and the person isn't 45+ or a grandma i'll usually stop to talk to them

otherwise i'll just do a simple 2 fingers up wave.

Best reaction ever was froma kid in a golf he was at the opposite of the intersection (goin the other way, redlight) I had the green light and went through the interestion and he yelled out" IS THAT THING TURBO" (i had the fatty ic up front like in my avatar) and i gave him a little BOV action and a thumbs up.

yea im lame

I was working on my car last week and like 3 people came up to me and said, "nice B16." As you can see from my sig that I don't have a B16. Common missconception I guess. Anyway I was curious because today was the first time in the 3 years I've had my ReX that somebody actually waved back.

I try but everyone here just thinks they are that much better. There are a few that friendly and give a nod or a little wave. There is a guy in an Accord that I pass a wave off to and vise versa every morning. Never met him but I see him everyday and he always seems friendly.

another was when i was gonna race a WRX and i popped my hood and he just looked under there didn't say anything. then we race and i smoke the **** out of him and he was like YOU NEVER SAID IT WAS TURBO!!! my hood was popped for like 10 mins and he didn't notice, man i gotta get out of this town!

Most people that drive CRXs are stunn4s. I hate them all. But seriously, if anyone talks to me about my car, I usually just straight up lie through my teeth. I'm so paranoid that someone will steal it that I just play dumb and say that it gets good gas mileage and I don't really know much about cars... lol. Then I usually get the stunna lecture about how T1T3 my car is, and how I should have r3sp3ct y0. I've even put 13" wheels on my car to make it look like it isn't lowered. The JDM kit will change all this though... eeep.

I hate the kids that think they're hard. Saw this guy today when I took my new ZC for a drive and I got the I'm a hardass look from this ricer kid in a 94 civic lx complete with euro tails, giant wing, and coffee can. Man I hate ricers. On the way back I passed a Fuckus that sounded like it was running straight pipes that revved at me, I gave him a dirty *** look because he's a true dumbass.

Does anyone else get the, I see a CRX so lets go flying by it, on the highway?

I'm in the Florida panhandle, a lot of big trucks. The big truck sees the little honda cruising by and all of a sudden has to rev up and go flying by. The missconception is that I'm just some ricer with a 200,000 mile beat up 4 cylinder under the hood, maybe its the carbon fiber.

You do have a beat up 4 cylinder.

i always wave to people with crx's around here but normally, noone waves back. ive even stopped to help out a couple of people in ef's so that they were able to at least get home after breaking down on the highway.
not many people around here with crx's are ricers.. most of the ones i see are driven by 40-50 year old people and they dont show any love for nice crx's. i guess they just take them for granted

The only time (other than honda meets) was when I was on the highway. I noticed a MINT 91 Si hatch, that was lowered and had rims, in the same Tahitian Green colour as my hatch. I quickly sped up and cruised beside it. Oddly enough, it was a 45-50 year old chinese man with his wife. He quickly noticed my car as well (it is easy to spot a Tahitian Green EF ). I gave him the thumbs up, and to my laughter they BOTH smiled and gave a wave. LOL good times

I'm not Chinese, but I am 41 and I have 2 EF's (STD-D16A6 & DX-D16Y8) The STD is my daily driver and I wave at alot of other EF's, but I get no love back. Young folks think I'm some kind of freak and older people are only driving a car that gets good mileage and could give a **** what kind of car it is .

I used to get a lot of hard looks with my old flint black 90 Rexsi but since I've had the y49 90 si I've been actually getting better "feedback" if thats what you wanna call it. I got a thumbs up from a middle aged looking guy in a 7-series about a month ago and to be honest I was stunned but could only assume that he had had a y49 before but who knows.
