dist change equates to timing probs?
Everything worked fine, i found out i had a leak in my dist so i changed the housing. I put the dist back on and now the timing light blinks around TDC instead of 18*. My cams and crank are all set correctly. Does anyone have any insite on the problem?
Well, if you pulled it out and didn't turn the motor over.. put it back in, if it doesn't fire up then pull it out and turn the rotor 180 and bolt it back in. If the engine was turned over with the distributor out, you're gonna have to set the number 1 to TDC on the compression stroke, then re install the dizzy with the rotor firing at the #1 plug.
You'll just have to play with timing if the car is firing up.

Lol... it starts... I should of stated this earlier. I took out all the sensors and stuff. I put it all back into another dist housing, and then put it all back together. I tried the timing and now it only lights off of the TDC mark.

Are you jumping the timing connector when you are trying to set the timing?
