Question about shipping an integra door...
Well im not sure if this belongs in this forum or not, but my car was hit on the drivers side door yesterday and basically i need a new door. Fortunatley someone whom i know from honda-tech for some time now has one for sale from his totalled integra. How much typically would it cost to ship a door? and HOW should it get shipped, like as far as boxing it up or whatever? If anyone has any experience with this please let me know..thanks.. oh and just incase, a 94-97 integra door should fit perfectly with a 98+ integra right? i am aware that the mirrors are different and i will be using mine.
i got my door in mint condition with the wiring in it for 160 shipped. but UPS decided to throw the son of a bitch around like a frisbee and it came to my house with the corners bent..... a little bondo work later and the door was good. the cool thing about it was that i made a claim to UPS and they paid for the door. so i made it out with a nearly free door.
ack.. err yea.. ups threw boxes over the fence where i worked.. it was a box full of circle of friends stone sculptures.. they were then turned into semi-circle with less friends friends and broken arms sculptures.. i would rather buy local and avoid the hassle of shipping and waiting for them to pay off ur insurance claims.. and yea the doors will fit..
